Barnes & Noble.com, October 20th, 2000
Q- Is it just me, or was something going on between Ron and Hermione during the last half of Goblet of Fire? I love your books, by the way, and two of them I've read straight through cover to cover in under 24 hours.
A- Well done on the reading speed! Yes, something's "going on," but Ron doesn't realize it yet. Typical boy.

As for the idea of Ron and Hermione having a son... (chuckles as the distant roars of a million shippers reach my ears, all cursing me to eternity of unsatisfied curiosity)."

When asked what Hermione would see in the Mirror of Erised, JKR replied that at the moment, Hermione would "see [Harry, Ron, and herself] alive and unscathed and Voldemort finished, and would also see herself closely entwined… with… another… person,"
