The Site

Date Opened: June 26th, 2002

The Name: I've always said 'Isn't it Obvious?' a lot when it came to discussing Ron/Hermione. When I decided to make a Ron/Hermione site I was trying to think of a good name and I thought that Isn't it Obvious? would be excellent because it describes them so perfect.

History: The first place I had the site was on Envy.nu which was a great place at the time with no ads. But before I could finish the site, they closed Envy.nu and I lost my site. The second place I had my site was on Brinkster.com which was an excellent place for starting your site on because it has no ads, it's free and has lots of space (although they don't do free hosting anymore). The only problem for me was that when my site got more popular, I ran out of bandwith, meaning my site got shut down until midnight and nobody could get in, not even me. So off I went on a search for a new host and thanks to Catherine who asked her friend Megs if she would host me and she said yes!

Why I started it: I've been a fan of Ron and Hermione since Goblet of Fire. There were barely any "shipper-themed" sites on the web at the site so I decided I would have to remedy this problem. My solution: this site, of course!

Media
When 'Order of the Pheonix' was coming out, my site garnered a bit of media attention both locally, nationally and internationally. It was quite exciting!

  • NY Newsday (2003)
  • The Express (2003)
  • The National Post (2003)
  • CBC News (Newfoundland) (June 20th, 2003)
  • CBC Newsworld (June 23rd 2003)
  • YM Magazine-August 2003 issue (Sort of:I had the interview but it was taken out at the last minute because there wasn't enough room. I'm still proud of it! It was my first ever media connection about the site!)
