Hermione's Confusion
A Harry Potter Poem/Song by Angie
We fight all the time.
I point out all your faults.
You call me a know-it-all.
I say you only care about yourself.
I'm always saying how stupid you are,
But do I really mean it?
I argue with you every day.
You do annoy me,
You drive me crazy,
But do you mean more to me than I say?
My mind says you're stupid,
But my heart says something else.
My mind tells me I hate you,
But my heart doesn't agree.
I don't understand.
Why must we play this game?
We're opposites,
And yet the same.
Why do I feel this way about you?
Do you feel the same way?
When you look I me I struggle for some words to say.
All that comes out are insults,
And: "Have you done your homework yet?"
How could I love someone who procrastinates?
I just tell you to study for a test.
My mind says you're stupid,
But my heart says something else.
My mind tells me I hate you.
Why doesn't my heart agree?
